Triple Whole House Water Filter System — 20" x 2.5" Slim Design, WaterMark Certified (GT1-80T)

The three-stage version of our slim whole-house system, for where a Big Blue will not fit but you want more than sediment and a single carbon. The 20" x 2.5" charcoal housings are UV resistant, so it is happy mounted outside, and the taller cartridges give you far more surface area and contact time than standard 10" x 2.5" undersink filters.

Good for a small household, a granny flat, a cabin, or a tight laundry cupboard. It takes generic 20" x 2.5" cartridges, so you are never locked into one supplier for refills.

Choose your configuration

Whole-house housings are shipped to you empty, so you pick what goes in them. If you are not sure which way to go, call us — it is a two minute conversation.

• Complete — with cartridges ($369.50)
  System plus a sediment cartridge and two coconut carbon blocks. The sediment cartridge catches grit and rust first, then the water passes through two carbon stages instead of one — double the contact time for chlorine, taste and odour, and twice as long between changes.
• Housing only ($275)
  The system, bracket and spanner. Choose this if you already know your cartridges or you are replacing a housing.

Filtering rain, tank or bore water? Filtration alone does not make untreated water safe to drink. Carbon does not kill bacteria, viruses or parasites. If the water is coming off a roof, a dam or a bore and it is going to be drunk, you want ultraviolet sanitation after the filters. Give us a call and we will size one to suit.

WaterMark certification is what a licensed plumber needs in order to legally install a water filter in Australia. Buying certified means the job complies with Australian plumbing codes.

Installation

A whole-house system is plumbed into your mains, which is licensed work. We are the specialist side of Wahoo Plumbing, QBCC 15256568, working the Sunshine Coast since 1997 — so if you are between Caloundra and Noosa or all of Moreton Bay area, we can supply and install it properly. Anywhere else in Australia, we will ship it to you.

Servicing

• Replace cartridges every 6 to 12 months, depending on your water
• If your water carries a lot of sediment, the pre-filter will need changing more often than the carbon — that is normal, and it is doing its job
• Limit pressure: 500 kPa maximum
