Under-Sink Filter Installation: Possible Extras

Most under-sink installs are quick and simple, with nothing extra needed. Every kitchen is a bit different, though, so here's an upfront list of the extras that might come up. If your install needs any of them, your installer will explain why on the day, and nothing extra goes in without your OK.

Stone benchtop drilling
Your benchtop is stone and needs a diamond-drilled hole for the filter tap. Covers the diamond drill bit and insurance.

Fitting your own 3-way mixer
You've bought your own 3-way mixer tap and want it fitted as part of the install.

Hot & cold mini stop valves
The small isolation valves under your sink are missing or faulty and need replacing.

Pipes & valves in the wall
Your hot and cold valves aren't accessible under the sink, so extra pipework is needed to connect the filter.

Your suburb is outside our standard service area (Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay).

You'll always see and approve the cost of any extra before work starts.

Installations in Queensland (booking and cancellation fees)

Call-out fee
$165 inc. GST
If you cancel the install during the appointment, even though there's a suitable spot to fit the filter (including where extras would be needed), a call-out fee may apply.
Late cancellation / no-show
$100
If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, or no-one's home when the installer arrives, this fee may apply. Life happens, so genuine circumstances are looked at case by case.
Travel fee
Quoted per job
Outside the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay, travel is quoted on distance. Like the call-out fee, it covers booking, the installer's time and travel, and isn't refundable once the installer is on the way.
